Alternatively, an immediate Divorce Application may be issued at Court if the client has sufficient grounds (e.g. Adultery or Unreasonable Behaviour). Each family situation is considered individually and advice is tailor made to suit the particular situation.

Children

We regularly act for clients whose children are in the care of the Department of Health and Social Care. We are able to locate and instruct appropriate experts whenever necessary to assist such clients e.g. Psychologists, Independent Social Workers etc subject to funding being in place.

We deal with Contact and Residence Applications in relation to children, efficiently and in the best interests of the child. We deal with matters such as applications to remove children from the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man Court to reside elsewhere, change of name of the child etc.

We acted in one of the first Adoptions on the Island and are able to represent clients in Adoption proceedings.

We are able to draw up Co-habitation Agreements for non-marital clients. We are also able to draft Pre-Nuptial Agreements for parties contemplating marriage or a Civil Partnership.

We also specialise in recovery of children back to the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man Court in Child Abduction cases.
